The refurbishments begin!

Today is the start of a major refurbishment for the ALX400s 
at FirstGreat Yarmouth and FirstLowestoft.

From Yarmouth ex Leicester 32058/9/61/2/3/4/5 & 30888 are all going to go up to Rotherham for refurbishment to the latest DDA regulations, this also includes a repaint into the new FirstBus livery. Note this wont include a full refurbishment. From FirstLowestoft are 30886 30889 & 30901, which will also have the DDA changes but not a repaint as they are already in the new livery from their transfer from FirstGreat Yarmouth a few years back.

Im lucky enough to know the driver who is taking Yarmouths lot to and from Rotherham so hang around for the FIRST EVER pictures of them wearing their new colours and new interiors.

The first to leave from Yarmouth is 32061 W221XBD which left earlier this morning at 7.10am with 32064 W224XBD to follow Wednesday and 32058 W218XBD to follow on Thursday.

 32061 on her first day of service after being transferred from Leicester working the 8.

 Parked on the depot forecourt a few weeks back during rare workings on the 6 & 7.

 And broken down on Northgate street just after returning from her loan at FirstIpswich.

And lastly working the 1A to Martham just after the Arcade in August.

From Lowestoft however was 30886 W741DWX with 30901 W756DWX to follow tomorrow, 30889 W744DWX to follow on Wednesday and lastly 30900 W774DWX on Thursday.

The refurbishment program will require a few extra buses for Yarmouth and Lowestoft which means that the B10BLE's that have been on loan to FirstIpswich for a few months will transfer on loan to cover, with Two for Yarmouth and Two for Lowestoft. 

30888 W743DWX will be done in Lowestofts corporation livery and (not confirmed yet) but 32059 W219XBD to be painted in Yarmouths BlueBus colours.

60618 R781WKW is the first Renown to come to FirstGreat Yarmouth on loan from FirstYorkshire.
