Norse Bus Crash Rackheath, Norwich

I have some very unfortunate news to present this evening...

Norse coach YP52 KRZ collided with a car coming the opposite direction along the A1151 (Wroxham Road). The coach was Wroxham bound for my school after a day out at the UEA when the accident happened at around 2:30.

The driver and a teacher sat on the front row in front of me both said that the car started drifting to our side of the road, seemingly oblivious to the coach. Other students say that the tyre of the car had popped, leaving the driver without control of his vehicle. Both points of view to the accident are still confusing me; as I didn't see the car.

But as the car was slowly pulling towards us, the driver didn't have enough time to react and had nowhere to go (travelling at about 40-50mph) leaving the car to career into the front off side of the coach, leaving a humongous thud to be heard. A second later I realised that we were heading for trees and bushes, little did I know that that was exactly what we were going to hit - the next thing I know, glass is thrown everywhere and the bus has grinded to a holt, almost in a field and surrounded by bushes and trees.

The seat almost opposite me covered in glass

Thankfully and luckily, nobody was hurt or injured on the coach but the driver of the car in his 70s was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
